Yahoo Authentication Policy

Yahoo has recently made some changes that may affect your email marketing campaigns. In order to reduce the number of spam emails and suspicious emails being sent, any email server utilizing DMARC will not be accepting messages that have a yahoo.com address as their sender address but do not originate from Yahoo's email servers.

These changes are made in accordance with DMARC, or Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting & Conformance, in order to try to reduce the number of bad email messages that sneak into your inbox. Read more about DMARC.

This basically means that if you use a yahoo.com address as your sender address there is an increased possibility that your emails will be flagged as spam or will simply bounce, which will significantly affect your delivery rates. Read more about the Yahoo changes.

For this reason, we strongly recommend that you change your sender address if you use a yahoo.com address for your email campaigns. This change will help avoid interruptions or issues with your sending. If you do not have an alternative to your Yahoo email address, please contact our customer care team at 866.323.6572, ext. 2 or customercare@simplycast.com.

So what are your options? You can send from a Gmail or Hotmail address, or, even better, you can send from your own domain (you@yourcompany.com).

The SimplyCast team is here to help you, and we always work hard to ensure the highest possible delivery rates and quality service for our customers. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
