Marketing Mini Myth

It's true.

Most teens and Millennials text.

In fact, 98 percent of people aged 18 to 29 own a cell phone – the most out of any age category, but not by a wide margin. Overall, 90 percent of all adults have a cell phone. This includes 74 percent of seniors over the age of 65, 88 percent of those between the ages of 50 and 64, and 97 percent of people aged 30 to 49.

So, you may be thinking, "Sure, they have cell phones, but seniors don't text."

That would be false.

94 percent of seniors text at least once a week. Sure, this is nowhere close to how much teens use their cell phones but it is still a fact that cannot be ignored.

Goes to show that texting isn't only for Millennials and teens. Text messaging is a way for your organization to communicate with clients of all ages.

With an open rate of 98 percent, SMS messaging is becoming the easiest way for your business to engage clients. The only way it could be easier is if you could automate the messages.

With SimplyCast's SMS application, it gets easier. SimplyCast provides SMS automation to help you communicate via SMS efficiently; all you have to do is write your text messages in advance and then they will be ready as automated responses when clients text you.
