What is CASL?
CASL is a new set of regulations aimed at reducing unwanted electronic messages sent to individuals and businesses in Canada, and overall contributing to anti-spam measures. This video has more: What does Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) Mean for Your Company?

Now that you have reviewed CASL, you know that you'll need consent. Let's explore consent, starting with implied consent, a form of consent that expires over time, and limits what you can send. You can send information relevant to a person's professional position, or to an inquiry or purchase they made: What is Implied Consent?
Express consent, on the other hand, does not expire and can be used to send information to a customer until they request that it stop. You have to be clear about who you are and what the customer is signing up to receive, but express consent is much safer for the purposes of sending.
