What’s the breakdown of costs to get set up for 10DLC compliance?

As of March 1, 2022, any business or organization in North America using an application (such as SimplyCast’s SMS application) are no longer able to send SMS messages to recipients in the United States due to the 10DLC provider regulations unless they have at least one of the following:

  • A shortcode keyword
  • A dedicated phone number registered to their brand and an approved use case

There are some additional fees to be considered when registering a brand and a campaign with the Campaign Registry. Here are some of the answers to some fee-related questions!

How much does it cost to register a brand?

The cost to register a brand is $5.00 per attempt.

If incorrect information is provided by the client and it takes more than one try to register, it can cost more than the initial $5.00.

How much does it cost to register and set up a campaign?

Once a company has registered their brand, they must then register their campaign(s) in order to be able to send SMS messages. As of March 1, 2022, there is a one-time $60.00 charge to register a campaign.

Once a campaign is registered with the provider, SimplyCast can typically set it up within 24 hours.

There is also a monthly campaign fee that varies from $6.00 to $35.00 based on campaign type and eligibility. Most campaign types cost about $15.00/month.

When I pay these fees, where are they going?

SimplyCast collects these fees from the client and passes them on to the Campaign Registry.
