SimplyCast: Scholarships to Local University Students

SimplyCast awards annual scholarships to local students to help further education and give back to the community.

Awards are based on academic achievement, community citizenship, Equals6 network participation and are open to high school and university/college students.

SimplyCast awarded a total of six scholarships in 2012 and plans on adding more community-building initiatives in the near future.

Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, February 21, 2013 - SimplyCast.com, a global leader in multi-channel marketing Platform-as-a-Service solutions, today announced the 2012 winners of the SimplyCast Jutla Scholarship and the SimplyCast Scobey Scholarship, both awarded annually to help students further their education.

Elaine Nicholson from Dalhousie University is the 2012 recipient of the Jutla Scholarship, while Heidi Landy of Saint Mary's University is the 2012 recipient of the Scobey scholarship. The SimplyCast scholarships are awarded annually to high school or university/college students and are based on academic achievement, community citizenship, and Equals6 network participation.

Scholarship award winners are chosen by the Equals6 Advisory Board and the companies offering the scholarships.

SimplyCast's other annual award, the SimplyCast Ritchie scholarship, was awarded to four students late in 2012. Gourav Sharma, Dhivya Veerasekaran and Deanna Bru of Dalhousie University along with Mathew Stephenson of Acadia University were the winners.

The three SimplyCast scholarships are named after Mr. William Ritchie, SimplyCast's Chairman of the Board, Dr. Dawn Jutla, a professor in the Department of Finance, Information Systems, and Management Science at Saint Mary's University and Dr. Porter Scobey, a professor in the Department of Mathematics and Computing Science at Saint Mary's University.

SimplyCast's multi-channel marketing platform is a web-based solution designed to create, track and deliver targeted online marketing campaigns such as email, survey, event, autoresponder, fax, SMS, Twitter and link tracking services.
