SimplyCast Names New Board Chair

SimplyCast names Michael Brien as its newest chairman.

Mr. Brien has been a member of the board since 2015.

Previous chairman, J William Ritchie, will remain on the board as a member.

Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, January 31, 2017 - SimplyCast, a leader in marketing automation, is pleased to announce Michael Brien, ICD.D will become Board Chair effective immediately replacing J William Ritchie who is retiring from the Chair after contributing several very productive years. Mr. Ritchie will remain as a board member.

Mr. Brien's distinguished career includes currently being CEO of Rockland Capital Limited an investment holding company. Prior he was CEO and owner of Macdonald Chisholm Track Insurance, a leading insurance brokerage in Atlantic Canada which he recently sold to a national publicly traded company.

Mr. Brien continues to be very active in the local business and volunteer community having served on several private for-profit and volunteer Boards including, President of Nova Scotia Insurance Brokers Association, CEO and Board member of Halifax Professional Basketball Club Inc. (Halifax Hurricanes), Chair, Atlantic Chapter of Young Presidents Organization (YPO). Currently, Mr. Brien is Vice Chair of Nova Scotia Community College, Board member Halifax Professional Basketball Club Inc. among other business and volunteer organizations such as Cystic Fibrosis, St. Ignatius Church etc.
