Frequently Asked Questions

Bounced emails are addresses that could not be delivered successfully to recipients of email marketing campaigns. There are two types of bounced emails: Hard Bounces, and Soft Bounces. Hard Bounces are addresses that were rejected outright. Possible reasons for a hard bounce could be because the recipient’s address no longer exists or the email’s domain name no longer exists. Hard bounced email are flagged in your mailing list, as well as the email suppression list, so that you do not send to those emails again when you send to the mailing list again. This is done to ensure your deliverability and IP reputation are not damaged from repeat sends to addresses where an email bounced back. Soft Bounces are addresses that were rejected due to a temporary issue, such as a recipient’s email box being full. Since these reasons are temporary, we don’t flag those addresses in your list or add them to the email suppression list right away because they may be able to be sent successfully when you mail again next time. However, after five consecutive unsuccessful attempts to deliver to a soft bounced email address it will be flagged as hard bounced. This is done to ensure that your email deliverability and IP reputation are not damaged from repeated sends to unengaged email addresses.
You can use the blacklist monitor application we offer! Log into the SimplyCast platform and click on the Blacklist Monitor application. We are able to do quick checks and daily monitoring of any IP address.
There are differences between email opens and clicks in email marketing campaigns, these are shown below: Email “Opens” or “Open Rates” are statistics that track if a recipient had opened the email that they received. In order to track an open rate, the recipient must allow HTML to be displayed, as well as images to be displayed in the message when they view it. Many email clients do not automatically load images when a message is opened unless the recipient chooses to download and display them. This is done to protect the user from any harmful HTML that could be hiding within the email, and to save on data usage for mobile users.

Alternatively, you can also use SimplyCast’s “Build a Document” editor to create the document within the platform. This editor allows you to use HTML, text, images, and simple document-formatting tools to create the fax for the campaign. Also need to add a fax cover sheet? SimplyCast’s Fax tool also provides an easy-to-use fax cover sheet template that you can plug your information into. Add as many sheets to your fax campaign as you need and get ready to send! On the sending page, you get to configure your scheduling and sending restrictions. Want to send your campaign right away? You got it! Want to schedule it for a later time? You can do that, too! With the sending restrictions, which are optional, you can choose start and end times so your campaign won’t send outside of those times. You can also choose specific days to send on. Sending restrictions are a great way to ensure you’re only sending to your contacts at times they are sure to see your fax campaign.
