First things first, you need to create a new campaign in the SimplyCast Form Builder. Once you are in the drag-and-drop editor for the form, find the "Hidden Input" element from the options at the top of your screen. Click and drag this element into your form.

After adding a Hidden Input element, configure its Element Settings in the black box on the left-hand side of the screen. You have the following settings to configure:

  • List Field: This option allows you to choose the CRM column where you would like the information collected from the hidden field element to be stored for each contact. Choose which column you would like from the dropdown menu in the black box on the left-hand side of your screen. You can also choose to create a new field to store the information in by choosing the last option from the dropdown menu: “--Create New Field--.” Selecting this option will cause a pop-up to appear where you must fill in the name of your new column and click “Create Column.” This will create a new column in the CRM which will store the value data added to the contact by the Form Builder hidden field element.
  • Value: This field is available with the Hidden Input element and it refers to the value that will be automatically added to the recipient's CRM profile in the list field specified in the List Field setting upon submission. Enter the value you
wish to add to the specified list field in the text box provided.

The Form Builder hidden field element can be used as a way to track additional information about a contact that is irrelevant to the contacts themselves but is helpful data for you to acquire nonetheless.
