What if I have clients without proof of consent?

Compliance FAQs

If you've had clients on a mailing list that you don't have proof of consent for, or clients whose consent is rendered invalid by the new laws, you can run a re-opt in campaign within the grace period, asking that customers clarify that they want to continue receiving your newsletter or other documentation. This will allow you to weed out people who have no desire to receive your communications, and acquire express consent from the people who do. Remember, as you'll find out in our CASL presentation, which you can find on our CASL page, express consent does not expire until the customer withdraws it.
