What is Potential Value?

Sonar FAQs

Potential Value is another estimated, manually input Destination Field associated with the Sonar application. It is a rough estimate (based on score, past activity, and pages visited) of what a customer might be worth in terms of revenue.

Is it included in my plan?

Yes. Sonar is a free subscription available to all our SimplyCast users, so all the features of Sonar are fully unlocked for you. This does not mean, however, that the features of 360 such as email, SMS, and others are unlocked.

How do I use it?

When you open our application at app.simplycast.com and sign in, you will notice the Applications toolbar at the top of the screen. You can find Sonar in the menu that drops down. By opening Sonar and creating a new Sonar web tracker, you will be transported to the editing page, where you can add rules and change settings and tracker types. Clicking the plus sign to "add additional tracking data" means you can use the available dropdowns to build a tracking rule with the potential value feature in it.

How does the potential value feature benefit me?

If a customer who clicks your link holds the pattern they have shown through your tracking activities and spends $50 per month with you, and on average you maintain customers for a decade, you would input the worth of customers clicking that link or pixel to be $6,000 and enter that into the field accordingly. You are able to then estimate how financially important each deal is and how much you could possibly stand to lose. This not only motivates your salespeople to do better, but it allows you to track the potential revenue that can be gained from each customer. This ultimately helps you to more accurately forecast your revenue each month and quarter.
