Let Students Check Meal Card Balance: Campaign Launchpad

Most post-secondary institutions allow students to use a meal card to pay for food at many places across campus. Using SMS shortcodes allows students to check their balance right on their phones instead of having to log in into a website.

First feed the current balance of the meal cards into our system via an API connection. Create an SMS keyword called “mealcard balance” that students can text into you. Once they do, they will receive their balance data right to their phone. You can also set up another keyword named “mealcard location.” When students text this in, they will be provided with a URL that that shows a list of all the places that accept meal card across campus.
