The Process of Attesting Vaccination Statuses

Vaccination attestation serves as a novel answer to the issues posed by regulations requiring employees to be vaccinated against COVID-19 for many types of work. A flexible process that handles the key steps can turn what is normally a lengthy challenge into a quick resolution.

A digital solution that allows employees to attest to their vaccination status and allows managers to attest that they can verify said status, solves the biggest challenges present in determining the vaccination statuses of employees.

SimplyCast presents the idea of the Vaccination Attestation use case, a complete solution for managing employee vaccination status records without storing health information.

This solution can be leveraged by employers to minimize the time and organization required to determine and manage the vaccination status of employees by leveraging existing management structures.

Breaking down the vaccination attestation process

SimplyCast anticipated the need for employers to improve the way that vaccination status records are stored and managed.

Within this vaccination attestation process, administrators, employees, and managers all play a specific role.

Administrators – Step 1

Administrators begin the process by sending out an email to all staff inviting them to attest to their vaccination status.

Employees – Step 1

When an employee receives that email, they can set up a meeting with their manager and show them their proof of vaccination. Once that’s done, the employee completes a simple form that is linked to in the email they were sent.

Managers – Step 1

After meeting with a vaccinated employee, managers will receive an email asking them to confirm the attestation of that employee. To do so, they fill out a quick form, just as the employee did.

Employees – Step 2

When an unvaccinated employee receives their initial invitation, they can instead indicate that they have not yet been fully vaccinated via the form.

Managers – Step 2

If an employee indicates they are not fully vaccinated, their manager is notified. The manager can then take action based on regulations and company policy, such as assessing vaccination plans or looking into role alterations.
