Front-End Developer

About This Position

As the Front-End Developer, you will work closely with project management, design, and development teams to make a fashionable, usable and interactive interface for multiple devices.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead the planning and implementation of the new User Experience (designs and customer usability) for the SimplyCast Platform.
  2. Assist with setting and documenting standards within SimplyCast for how User Interface elements should be designed and used.
  3. Assist with porting existing User Interfaces into the new design philosophy.
  4. Communicate with the API / Backend staff to request changes when required by the UI.
  5. Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and responsiveness.
  6. Analyze performance bottlenecks and implement enhancements across devices and platforms.
  7. Develop modular, reusable front-end components aligned with the company’s design system.
  8. Maintain and expand the UI component library for use across all SimplyCast applications.

Job Requirements

  1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or relevant field.
  2. Experience with .NET (C#).
  3. Front-end development experience with emphasis on MVC-type frameworks (E.g. Angular, Vue.js, React.js, Flutter).
  4. Experience with Blazor (not required, but beneficial).
  5. Hands-on experience with markup languages.
  6. Familiarity with browser testing and debugging.
  7. In-depth understanding of the entire web development process (design, development and deployment).
  8. Experience consuming RESTful APIs and handling asynchronous workflows.
  9. Understanding data serialization, authentication flows (JWT, OAuth), session management.
  10. Understanding layout aesthetics.
  11. Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment.
  12. Excellent analytical, problem solving, and multitasking skills.
  13. Nice to have: Familiarity with Git and version control strategies.
  14. Nice to have: Knowledge of information security practices.
  15. Nice to have: Technical writing skills (E.g. Component documentation, Requirements documents, etc.).
