About This Position
The Youth Programmer is responsible for writing, testing, and debugging code to fix software defects, improve performance, and add new features to applications.
Applicants must meet all the following requirements:
- Identify as a woman pursuing or working toward a career in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics)
- Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the internship
- Be a post-secondary graduate, having completed a degree or diploma program at a university, college, post-secondary school of technology, post-secondary institute, or CEGEP
- Be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or have refugee status
- Be a first-time participant in a Youth Employment and Skills Strategy (YESS) work experience program targeted at post-secondary graduates
