The SimplyCast Form Builder hidden field element, or "Hidden Input" element as it's called in the Form Builder application, allows form creators to automatically assign a value to the contact in the CRM. Although the hidden field is not visible on the form to recipients, this element can be seen in the Form Builder application by the form creator and allows them to give submitters determine what automatic value to give to submitters once they the form.
But how do you use the Form Builder hidden field element in the SimplyCast platform?
First things first, you need to create a new campaign in the SimplyCast Form Builder. Once you are in the drag-and-drop editor for the form, find the "Hidden Input" element from the options at the top of your screen. Click and drag this element into your form.
After adding a Hidden Input element, configure its Element Settings in the black box on the left-hand side of the screen. You have the following settings to configure:
The Form Builder hidden field element can be used as a way to track additional information about a contact that is irrelevant to the contacts themselves but is helpful data for you to acquire nonetheless. For example, if you need to track what version of a form was used to make a submission, you can include the version number as the value in the hidden field.
